"Songs of Love and Laughter" Erin Callanan & Valerie Wycoff with Sharolyn Kimmorley in Concert

Erin Callanan has been performing on stage both as an actor and singer in Christchurch for many years. She has taken on a variety of exciting and challenging roles with Repertory Theatre, Elmwood Players, Brickworks Productions and Top Dog Theatre Companies, as well as  being a member of  the Canterbury Opera, Southern Opera and New Zealand Opera Chorus. Added to this she is part of a Celtic band -The Kilmarnock Edition. 

Valerie Wycoff grew up in Nebraska and has made her home in New Zealand for over 35 years.  She has degrees in theatre and Opera Performance, and has acted and sung for Court Theatre, Canterbury Opera, and New Zealand Opera,  She has also performed recitals and in concert with many local artists including Maurice Till, Harry Abbenhuis, Malcolm McNeill, Barry Brinson, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, and Doug Caldwell, and has released a CD with Barry Brinson "Years of Love."

Erin and Valerie first performed together in 1995 for a Christchurch Symphony Orchestra concert, and in the last 6 years have enjoyed being part of the New Zealand Opera Chorus in Christchurch, as well as singing in Opera Club performances around the City.

Sharolyn Kimmorley is regarded as one of Australia’s finest vocal coaches and accompanists. She has recorded for the ABC, taken part in Chamber Music Concerts, and accompanied some of the world's most distinguished singers including Dame Joan Sutherland, Bryn Terfel, Joan Carden, Michael Lewis, Sir Thomas Allen, Barbara Bonney, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Keith Lewis, Dennis O’Neill, Kathleen Battle, and Jonathan Lemalu.
