At The Piano, we are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support of our community. It's this support which has enabled us to establish a thriving platform for the creation and enjoyment of transformative musical experiences. Our mission is to bridge the gap between performers and audiences, bringing them closer together in the realm of music.

Throughout the years, we've fundraised for the construction of The Piano, the procurement of a world-class Steinway D Piano, and upgrades to our audio and lighting equipment.

As the kaitiaki / guardians of The Piano we are an independent registered charitable trust (CC27121).

If you are interested in supporting The Piano and would like to speak about options, please email our Director, Marcus Norman on the details below.

Name A Seat

Join our seat sponsor whānau and be a part of the next ten years of special moments in our Philip Carter Family Concert Hall, renowned for its world-class acoustics and intimate atmosphere.

Naming a seat is a special way to be a part of the magic, honour a loved one, or recognise a business contribution to the arts. By naming a seat you're also ensuring a bright future for the thousands of artists, young people, and communities who perform on our stage each year, and the audiences who enjoy shows from some of New Zealand's finest artists.

When you sponsor a seat an engraved plaque is placed on your seat(s) of choice, and your name added to our sponsor board in The Atrium. Names are renewed every ten years, and can also be anonymous.

  • Individual Name – $700 for ten years
  • Business Name – $1000 for ten years

If you would like to find out more about naming a seat, please get in touch with our Director Marcus Norman for a informal and confidential kōrero.
