Chamber Music New Zealand Presents:
Heath Quartet
Artistry / energy / commitment / humour / dynamic / charismatic
Thrilling audiences with their dynamic and charismatic performances, the Heath Quartet are one of Britain’s most exciting chamber ensembles. Winning the 2016 Gramophone Chamber Music Award with their debut recording, the quartet are fast earning their electric reputation. In a programme of contrasts, Bach’s sublime Chorale Preludes meet Haydn’s playfully perfect String Quartet No. 55 and the oceanic mysteries of Britten’s String Quartet No. 2.
Chamber Music New Zealand is also excited to announce a new commission from the brilliant Gareth Farr. Fostering our next generation of musicians and audiences, the Heath Quartet will tour Aotearoa as part of Chamber Music New Zealand’s education and outreach programme. Through concerts and workshops, the quartet will share music up close with communities from North to South.
