Tony Yan Tong Chen (b. 1999) is a New Zealand-born pianist of Chinese descent. His competition success includes winning the New Zealand National Piano Competition (2019), 2nd Prize at the Marian Garcia International Piano Competition (2021), Finalist Award for Best Classical Album at New Zealand’s Aotearoa Music Awards (2021), and Finalist Award at the 10th New York International Piano Competition (2022). He has performed in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, and appeared as concerto soloist with the Bach Musica and Nelson Symphony Orchestras in New Zealand. He currently studies with Alan Chow at the Eastman School of Music.
