This will be an intimate concert of chamber music by Christchurch composer Chris Adams written over the last 25 years, for, or inspired by Helen Acheson, an active singer and performer who died suddenly in 2023.

Works include: the winner of the Philip Neill Memorial Prize 2023; Quintet for Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Violin and Cello; song cycles setting D H Lawrence, 16th century texts including John Dowland, and Fiona Farrell, music for Viola and Piano, Flute and Piano, and String Quartet.  

Performers include: Hannah Darroch - Flute, Alex Morton - Horn, Nicola Holt - Soprano, Jeremy Woodside - Piano, Sarah McCracken - Violin, Amandine Guerin - Violin, Sophia Acheson - Viola.
