Following a public event on the Ōtākaro Avon river at noon, Christchurch rangatahi/youth from across the city come together to discuss water means to us
"Ko te wai te ora ngā mea katoa. Water is the life giver of all things." From across the city, 6 young speakers come together to reflect with Yo-Yo Ma on the role of water in our diverse cultures and its importance in our futures. A free public conversation chaired by Josiah Tualamali'i . (Event in association with Bronwyn Hayward and Francis Yapp of UC Arts).
Speakers include Amiria Tikao, Bariz Shah; Nuku Tau, Sylvia Nissen, Roseanne Tia; Josiah Tuamali’I (chair) and Yo-Yo Ma.
Part of Yo-Yo Ma’s Bach Project, which explores culture’s important role in society in 36 cities on six continents.
