Oriana is delighted to present Vocal Delights: An afternoon of Choral Music. This concert will delight the ears and the soul, leading through choral music favourites by Monteverdi, Purcell and arrangements of modern tunes.
Oriana is a newly established vocal ensemble in Christchurch, with a shared passion for early music, church choral music and a range of other styles. The group comprises Amelia Ryman, Kimberley Wood, Harry Meehan and Matthew Harris. The four met in 2017 and launched the group after noting a gap in the Christchurch market for unaccompanied ensemble singing. So far in 2018, Oriana has sung the Easter Vigil at St Michael and All Angels, a lunchtime concert at St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, and a concert at Knox Church in June.
