Classical concert featuring some of Poland's best-loved music for violin, piano and string quintet, celebrating the country's world-renowned virtuosity and years of musical unity. Enjoy an evening of great works by Polish composers: Chopin, Wieniawski, Oginski and Paderewski, enhanced with a piece from Ukrainian composer Skoryk in solidarity with his country.

Performed by Laura Barton (CSO violin), Helena Sowinski (piano), alongside some of Christchurch's most sought-after CSO musicians.

The event is part of Christchurch Heritage Festival 2022 and relates to milestone celebrations for the Polish community in New Zealand: 150 years since the arrival of first Polish settlers in 1872. It celebrates past and presence, milestones and moments – for the unity of the community and the wider world.
