OVERVIEW
The resonance of the cello pulls at the heartstrings, a compelling soundtrack for star crossed lovers and deep longings for that beyond our reach. Few have not yearned to be with loved ones in the last two years. This tour reunites two friends, musical accomplices that have made their homes on opposite sides of the globe.
The playful and sensitive piano playing of Stephen De Pledge has won the affection of New Zealand audiences; paired with acclaimed UK cellist Matthew Barley celebrated for his powerful connection with listeners, this is going to be a special evening that goes to the heart of some of the greatest works for cello and piano.
