Wheelchair & Step Free Access

The Piano is fully wheelchair accessible, with step free access from street level and throughout all of our spaces. Wheelchair-accessible, and step free seating is available in the front row of the Philip Carter Family Concert Hall. We can accomodate up to 12 wheelchair patrons upon prior arrangement.

Assistive Hearing / Hearing Loop

For amplified performances, patrons who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing and who have a hearing aid may wish to utilise our hearing loop system.


Accessible Toilets & Changing Facilities

The Piano provides three accessible toilets, including changing facilities.


Mobility Parking

There are two P120 mobility parks directly outside The Piano on Armagh Street, and six mobility parks within the Te Whare Tapere Performing Arts Precinct car park (managed by Mainland). Please visit the Christchurch City Council's website for further information on mobility parks throughout the city.
