"Masters and Miniatures" - Risingholme Orchestra

Enjoy an afternoon of music from America, Italy and...(pause for trumpet flourish)... Christchurch! Philip Norman will conduct a programme of works including the Afro-American Symphony by William Grant Still, Semiramide Overture by Rossini and the three finalists' pieces in the Janet and John Emeleus composition competition. 

The three compositions are described as Meaningful Miniatures with the winner being announced at the end of the concert. 

Come along and hear Matariki by Valerie Xiang from Rangi Ruru Girls School, Evening Hue by Callum McKie from Middleton Grange School and Tango by Richard Oswin a musician and educator from Christchurch.
